There are some cool new video games out there, like some ones that are out for the Wii Nintendo console that actually allow you enjoy weight loss while you are playing a cool and interesting game. I find this to be a really great take on the weight loss prospect, if you ask me. I have found that after a really long day of work – which I find to be very mentally rewarding – that I am actually physically tired come the end of the day. That being said, it can be difficult to motivate myself to get on the wheel and start working out. But now that I have video games at my fingertips for weight loss, everything has change, and my gambit is turning the other way. As a matter of fact, over the past year or so, by harnessing the power of weight loss video games and balancing the foods I eat with my workout plans, I have managed to drop more than twenty pounds and keep that fat off for good!

Being Thankful with Perfume and Cologne

This year we’ve decided to host Thanksgiving at our home and I told my husband that I’d like to give a small gift to everyone who comes, along with a note of something that I’m thankful to them for. He thought it was a great idea and we agreed upon a budget for the gifts. Last night I was looking around online for menu ideas and I came across some great prices on perfume and cologne. I found some smaller sized bottles and the price was within the budget that my husband and I had set. I called to ask him what he thought about the perfume and cologne idea and just as I suspected, he said if I liked it then I should go for it. The thing that I liked was that if I ordered the perfume and cologne that I would still have money left over that I could use for something else to go along with the gift. I could buy some cute wrapping paper to wrap the perfume and cologne in, or maybe I could even give them another little something to go along with their gift. That part is yet to be determined, but at least I have the main part of the gift done. Now to come up with the rest of the menu.

Discovered Essential Oil on Vacation

When my husband and I were on vacation this summer, the hotel we stayed in left a small bottle of essential oil in our room as a little extra for us. When I first saw it, I thought the essential oil was some sort of hot oil treatment for hair, but I quickly found out otherwise. After we were in the hotel a few days, I finally decided to try it one evening when I got out of the bath. I’d spent most of the day in the sunshine and my body looked similar to a lobster. I used a little of the essential oil in hopes that I would not feel the effects of the overexposure to sun the next morning and surprisingly it seemed to help. The following morning we had another little bottle and at the end of our trip, I brought two small bottles home with me. I decided I wanted more of this oil, so went online to see if I could purchase some. I found some and ordered it on the spot. I’ve been using it as part of my routine ever since.

This morning I stood on the scales and saw again that I’d had a little more weight loss. I can’t tell you how happy I was to see that, especially since for a while there I didn’t think the scales would ever move downward again. At the beginning of the year, I made a commitment to becoming healthier and the weight loss has been the result. I’m happy about it because I definitely needed to lose some weight, and it’s amazing at just how much better I feel now that I’ve shed some pounds. In order to help aid in the weight loss process, I’ve ordered some vitamin supplements from online and I’ve been taking them regularly. They include Omega 3 fish oil, which is great for immune health, plus also great for the heart. I found them online for a much better price than I could get them locally and so I started not only ordering for myself, but also for several other family members. We are trying to help each other in this journey to weight loss and I know we’ll all reach our goals.

Last night I was out walking the dog with my husband and talking about some essential oil that I’d just ordered for my sister when we ran into two ladies who happened to be out walking their dogs as well. I don’t really know them other than when I see them we always speak, but last night they stopped me and asked if I had had a significant amount of weight loss. The question caught me off guard, because I don’t really know them, I don’t expect them to notice my weight loss, but they did. I told them I’d lost about 100 pounds and they were both blown away. They couldn’t believe it and said something to the effect that it had took one of them a year to lose 10 pounds and they couldn’t imagine losing 100. They asked my weight loss secret, and I told them that there was really not a secret, at least not for me, but that all I did was exercise and eat well. They were amazed and went on and on about it, and I couldn’t help but feel good about my accomplishment.

I was visiting a friend last weekend and I noticed a bottle of essential oil in her bathroom closet when I went to get a towel for my bath. Crossing the Bridge of Weight Loss

In every journey towards weight loss there is a point when you hit that wall. I was stuck behind this wall for some time. Even after decreasing the amount of crappy foods I ate and increasing the amount of cardio, I could not drop below 188 pounds. I started around 195 pounds. After going on a long jog yesterday, like normal I stepped on the scale before stepping into the shower. At first, the number did not register. I had to step off and see what it said again. I was not mistaken—It read 186. This was a huge accomplishment for me because it meant that all my weight loss work was beginning to pay off.

From what I read once that first bridge is crossed it is much easier to keep losing weight. I’ll see by the middle of this month. My goal is to drop back down to 180 pounds. From past experience, this seems like the right weight. There I’m thin but at the same time have some muscle on the bones. For anyone else hitting a weight loss wall right now, keep at it because the day will come when the scale shocks you.

I’ve been feeling a little under the weather the last week or so and a friend of mine suggested that maybe I do a body detoxifying program. I’ve never done one, but she gave me some information about a website I could visit and order body detoxifying products. I figured that since I’d never done one before, I could definitely benefit from having one, so I went online and ordered what I needed. I’ve been thinking about starting a weight loss program anyway, and maybe this is just what I need to give myself a kick start. Once the products arrive, I’m going to follow the instructions and do what is necessary. Several weeks ago I was at the beach with friends and one of them mentioned that her husband had been using essential oil to give her a massage in the evenings. I actually love a massage and only get one about once a year when I go to the annual spa day with my girlfriends. My skin was so dry yesterday when I got home from the beach that the first thing I did after getting out of the shower was rub some essential oil on my skin. I’d actually forgotten that I’d recently ordered the essential oil online until I opened the cabinet looking for something to put on my dry skin. I remembered how great the essential oil felt on my skin and decided that the best thing to do would be to use it and see how much it helped. Sure enough, it didn’t take long and my skin felt smooth and silky. I decided to leave the essential oil out on the counter top so that I would be reminded to use it again in the morning. I figure if I use the essential oil for the next couple of days, that my skin will be looking as good as new. Several days ago I went to the beach with my best friend. While there is nothing odd about me spending some time at the beach with my best friend, the fact that I fell asleep in the sun is something that I never do. I woke up two hours later and was cooked like a lobster. When I got home, I took a cool bath and asked my husband if he would use some of the essential oil that I recently ordered from the Internet and rub it on my skin across my back where I couldn’t reach. He was more than happy to use the essential oil, but he also commented several times that he couldn’t believe I’d fallen asleep and that I was certainly going to peel and be in a lot of pain the following morning. I explained that it was why I was using the essential oil in hopes that it would moisturize my skin and help sooth it, plus help keep it from peeling. I found out a few days ago that after a long, stressful day that essential oil can be the best thing to help me relax and I thank my best friend for this. The one thing that has been on my mind lately has been this weight loss journey I’m on. I started about a month ago and have spent countless hours online researching and reading about the best methods of weight loss and also where I can find the foods with the most health benefits. I’ve learned that the key to weight loss is making sure you are hydrated enough, plus also making sure that you get enough proteins and enough exercise.

I recently started ordering supplements online after paying far too much for them in the health food store. I figured that I may even be able to get them cheaper at the discount store, and while they were less expensive, they still weren’t as inexpensive as online. I know that during this journey to weight loss that it will help assure that I get all the vitamins that I need to make this journey a successful one. So far, I’ve been successful in losing quite a few pounds and I’ve recently started doing strength training to help with the weight loss process. I know it’s a commitment to myself and to my health.

Sometimes weight loss is not the answer to a nicer body. About two years ago my step-daughter lost a significant amount of weight but it did not really give her a better physique. You see her weight loss was not the result of exercise. Her weight loss was the result of extreme dieting. As a result of this she lost lots of fat but she did nothing to tone up. The weight loss also left her with a fair amount of loose skin. My body, on the other hand, has improved over the past few years without significant weight loss. I am probably only a few pounds lighter than I was back in 2008. However my physique looks a lot better than it did back then. You see I have been swimming, stepping and doing a lot of resistance work. I have lost fat. The reason that the weight loss is not significant is that I have gained muscle tone. Muscle weighs more than fat. Not that I am trying to imply that there is anything wrong with weight loss. Losing excess pounds is excellent for a person’s overall health. Instead I am suggesting that the results are much more pleasing if this weight loss is achieved by diet and exercise rather than just one or the other.

When I have had a long day or if I am feeling stressed out, the first thing that I do whenever I get a chance, is make myself an essential oil foam bath. As soon as I smell the lovely fragrance of the lavender essential oil, I feel much better. Then, when I slide down into the warm, foamy water, I feel like my troubles are far away from me. I always purchase my essential oil foam bath from the same online superstore. I have saved a lot of time, gas and money by purchasing my bath product from my favorite online superstore and now I would not shop anywhere else.

I really value being able to do something as calming and simple as taking a luxurious bath and I am not willing to give my special time up. When my husbands side of family called and told us that they would be coming into town, I immediately began freaking out about the state of our home.
