It's the Holidays! Don't you love this time of year! With all the lights, cookies and good cheer! My family makes a big event of packing into the car and looking at lights around the city. You know, those homes that folks spend all year preparing to light and decorate. Aren't they something to see?

Another factor of the holiday season that I especially like are the aromas. I like to enhance them with the use of essential oil. Although my home usually smells of freshly baked cookies or the pine from the live tree some essential oil can also be smelled in the background or another room. I use cinnamon, gingerbread and pine.
 
In some rooms I place bottles of the essential oil with bamboo sticks shooting out. This diffuses the aroma very nicely. In other rooms I may use the essential oil in a candle burner. That method definitely needs to be watched and is my less often used way of burning essential oils. I tend to get involved in one thing or another and forget the candle is lit. Whatever your choice, the use of essential oils makes the holidays that much more festive!
